THE TRIP

On Thursday 4 Nov 2024 David went on a train trip from Manchester to Nottingham for meetings at the Arts Council's office in Nottingham Trent University. David documented his journey and the meetings and his journey back to make a sequence of prose poetry pieces, unified and structured by the events of this one day.
David filled an exercise book with text based on what happened and what was said and what he saw, and all of these writings were turned into over 50 short prose poetry pieces which he has been working on since with his mentors, stars of the prose poetry world Ian Seed, Vik Shirley, Tom Jenks, and Carrie Etter.
The book should be available once the right publisher has been found.
